Tell us about the Seville nursery furniture collection.
Seville is the latest addition to the Silver Cross’s beautiful nursery collection. With neutral tones of soft cashmere complemented by natural oak accents, Seville invites a fresh and calming feeling into any nursery space.
With nursery interiors taking a much more sophisticated approach in recent years to maximise the longevity of the room’s décor, Seville’s minimalistic look is the perfect choice. The warmth of Seville’s soft cashmere and natural oak composition creates a relaxed and inviting feeling, which makes it easy to build a room around.
The collection comprises of three elegant pieces, a cot-to-toddler bed, changer dresser and wardrobe, which you can tailor to fit the size of your room. Silver Cross cot beds offer quality and versatility from day one, with three mattress height positions and the ability to transform into a toddler bed when your little one outgrows their cot. The spacious dresser and wardrobe have plenty of space for storing away all of your little one’s clothes and essentials so you can stay organised. For nappy changes during those late nights and early mornings, the dresser features a changer top which can be easily removed and used as a storage box or craft tray when no longer in use.
How would you style Seville?
Seville is super versatile as it has a timeless look that doesn’t just follow a trend, meaning it could be styled in so many different ways dependent on your taste. In stores and in our room set photography we chose a very fresh, gender neutral look for Seville, with pops of natural colours and snuggly textures.
Soft green panelling alongside warm white walls is perfect for offsetting Seville’s soft cashmere colour palette, especially if you have wooden floors in your nursery. If you do have wooden flooring, consider adding an oversized plush rug to the room for extra cosiness.
To accessorise the room, we chose wooden toys, rattan baskets and golden frames in keeping with the natural look that Seville radiates.
Can customers ‘shop the look’ and recreate Seville’s styling at home?
Yes! We’ve made sure that everything used in Seville’s styling can be recreated at home. You can shop the look through the links below.
What are your top tips for creating a nursery with décor that will last over the years?
Less is more. I’d suggest choosing soft, neutral colours if you’re looking to make the room timeless in terms of its décor. Many more parents are choosing a more ‘grown up’ feel for nurseries to avoid having to redecorate in a year to cover up themes that are too ‘baby like’. Natural greens, dusty pinks and soft oranges are ideal pops of colour to complement fresh and warm whites.
In terms of your accessories, don’t buy everything all at once. Try to stagger the furnishings and accessories you purchase so you can really build the room and decide if you love the pieces you’ve got. Remember that not everything needs to be brand new! Second hand and vintage shops can be the perfect spot for finding items like lamps, rugs and prints that you’ll treasure for years to come.
