What inspired the Devon collection?
Clean-lined, minimalist style is a trend taking over the home décor scene, with many parents choosing this theme for their little one’s nursery. The beauty of a laidback interiors look is that it’s super versatile, allowing you to put your own stamp on it with accessories, wall art and soft furnishings. Devon achieves this simplistic styling and fits seamlessly into any home, perfect for parents looking for a high-quality nursery set they’ll never tire of.
With its soft, curved edges and delicate panelling, Devon has an elegant look that’s complemented by satin chrome handles. Available in soft grey or timeless white, it’s the ideal gender-neutral nursery set.
Tell us more about the furniture set
The Devon furniture set includes two nursery pieces – a cot bed and a dresser. The elegant cot bed is suitable from birth with multiple base height positions to suit every stage of your little one’s development. As they get older, the cot bed can be effortlessly transformed into a toddler bed using the same mattress as practical sleep solution for years to come.
For keeping things organised, the Devon dresser is the perfect addition. With three deep drawers, there’s plenty of room for storing your little one’s clothing and the integrated baby changer top is perfect for nappy changes throughout the day and night.

How would you style the Devon nursery set?
I love how easy the Silver Cross Devon nursery furniture collection is to style – it looks great against so many backdrops.
Adding warmth to the white set with exposed wood flooring, almond walls and plush furnishings is a great way to create a sense of calm and cosiness that will always welcome you home. To achieve a more ‘grown up’ look that’s super easy to live with, avoid too many ‘childish’ touches in vibrant primary colours. Instead, go for neutral accessories and pastel pieces that will grow with your child – this in turn also means redecorating less!
We utilised tones of grey in the Devon grey furniture shoot, styling the two-piece set alongside polka dot walls, beechwood accents and cashmere notes. Avoid making the room too cool by incorporating warm and cosy accents like soft rugs, chunky curtains and rattan storage baskets.

How can parents maximise a smaller nursery space?
The first thing you should do is decide what you really need in your nursery to avoid overfilling the room with unnecessary items. The Devon nursery collection consists of two furniture pieces, so it’s already a space-saver. Nurseries often tend to be one of the smallest rooms in the house, so maximising as much space as possible is essential.
Light and airy colours on your walls will immediately make a room feel bigger than it is and bounce natural light around a room. If you’re worried about storage space, utilize your wall space efficiently by using peg rails and floating shelves to keep essentials organised.
Lighting plays a huge part too – lamps can take up too much floor space and statement chandeliers often give the illusion of reduced ceiling height. Instead, go for warm lighting in smaller lamp shades and streamlined designs, or look for nursery-friendly wall-mounted lights that fit with your theme.
