Stowable harness

When should I remove the inserts in my Motion 3 car seat?

Motion 3 has adjustable and adaptable inserts that are designed to ensure your little one’s comfort on every journey. The full insert must be used between 40-60cm, and once they’re above 61 cm, you can begin removing the insert gradually – first head, side, and then main body - while still using it as a rear-facing wedge up to 105cm for added comfort and support.

How long can I use the seat liners for?

The reversible seat liners can be used whilst your little one is using the 5-point safety harness. Whilst in use, the liners offers an extra layer of fabric protection and is machine washable at 30°C.

Is Motion 3 easy to clean?

All the fabrics on the Motion 3 car seat are fully removeable and can be machine washed at 30°C with no detergents, just remember to remove any foams from the inserts prior to washing.

What testing has been carried out on Motion 3?

We rigorously test all our car safety products above and beyond regulation at European independent testing laboratories to ensure your child is safe and secure on every journey, at every age. In addition, Motion 3 is the third generation of Motion All Size 360, which was named best baby, toddler and child car seat in ADAC’s 2022 Autumn Test, achieving the best score in its class. ADAC is an internationally recognised independent testing body, renowned for its stringent approach to crash testing.

Can Motion 3 detach from the base and be used on my stroller?

Motion 3 is a fixed ISOFIX car seat, so the base cannot be removed. Our Glide Plus 360 infant carrier does, however, offer this option and is compatible with a range of Silver Cross prams and strollers. 

What’s included in the Ultimate Comfort Kit?

Every Motion 3 is complete with all-inclusive accessories, featuring an additional breathable seat liner, window sunshade, and comfy seatbelt pad for high-back booster mode.

Can the seatbelt pad be used as an additional chest pad?

The Motion 3 harness has its own sprung chest pads, designed to give your little one ultimate comfort and safety without needing extra padding. The seatbelt pad is designed for use in high-back booster mode, where it cushions the adult seatbelt across your child’s shoulder for a softer, safer fit.

Can I use the breathable liner with the newborn insert?

The spare seat liner is best used once your little one has outgrown the newborn insert. While they’re still using the newborn insert, the breathable fabric helps keep them cool in summer and snug in winter, so they stay comfortable whatever the weather. If you’d like, you can place the breathable liner underneath the insert — but the Hydro Protect seat liner should already be in position, designed to create a soft, cocooning space that keeps newborns comfortable on every journey.
