What is a rear-facing car seat?

A rear-facing car seat is a car seat that faces the back of your vehicle, which should be used from birth until at least 15 months old.

What are the benefits of a rear-facing car seat?

We recommend children travel in a rear facing position for as long as possible. This ensures maximum protection for their head, neck and spine in case of a collision. It is a legal requirement for babies under 15 months old to travel in a rear facing car seat. Motion 2 All Size 360 offers rear facing to 18kg, approximately 4 years old - when the harness has been outgrown, Motion 2 then converts into a high back booster for use to age 12.

What is the age suitability on Silver Cross’ extended rear-facing car seat?

Motion 2 All Size 360 is suitable from birth until approximately 12 years old and can be used rear facing until your child is approx. 4 years old.  The harness is outgrown when your child is 105cm or 18kg.  The seat then converts to a high back booster with your child safely secured with the vehicle 3-point seatbelt.
